About Abounding Grace

Trinity Lutheran Church and Evangelical Lutheran Church of the King were consolidated in October of 2007. Our new name is Abounding Grace Church.

Abounding Grace Church is located in Tucson, Arizona. We are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). Our worship, preaching teaching, and administering of the sacraments ascribe to Lutheran practices.

Lutherans believe that we are a part of a community of faith that began with the gift of the Holy Spirit, God's presence with his people, on the day of Pentecost. The church, regardless of the external form it takes, is the fellowship of those who have been restored to God by Christ. Indeed, to be called into fellowship with Christ is also to be called into community with other believers.

Abounding Grace Mission Statement

To be God's instruments on earth reaching out to the un churched, loving our neighbors and welcoming all. Our mission is to use the
gifts of time, talent and treasure that God has given each of us:

1. To be instruments of God in the building of God's Kingdom in this world.
2. To reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the un churched or disconnected.
3. To love our neighbors as ourselves by providing social services to our community and beyond.
4. To welcome all- regardless of age, race, economic status, gender preference or other differences.
5. To teach God's plan of salvation and encourage spiritual growth in all.
